The Dolphin Shack is named after a little bar and restaurant perched on the sands and shore of a Cambodian beach in a quaint little town known as Sihanoukville, named after former King Sihanouk. It was only one of many places that bore witness to my enlightenment. They say that Buddha achieved enlightenment under a tree through meditation. In reality, enlightenment is a continuing process, and to be fairer, I'd have to say I achieved enlightenment in Amherst, Albany, New York City, Seattle, Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia - among the more important places for me. The Dolphin Shack was just a nice place with really friendly beautiful people and the best banana shakes you could ever find in any of these places. I continue on in my search for beauty, meaning, and purpose, and seek to create them as well. Here's my public outlet for that.
